Ariadni is software that helps a buyer of legal services see what their outside counsel is worth. You connect your inbox and tell Ariadni which lawyers and firms to watch. As their work arrives, Ariadni gives you an objective, plain-language read across four signals: responsiveness, who did the work, work-product quality, and fee versus expectation. She automatically emails the analysis to you and stages a polite draft question you can send your lawyer.
Ariadni is a technology company, not a law firm. She does not provide legal advice or legal opinions, and using her creates no attorney-client relationship. Her output is objective observations and questions to help you decide what to ask your own counsel.
AskAriadni is an email version of the same idea. Enrolled users can forward a message from their counsel to Ariadni, or ask her about a bill, a redline, or a clause, and Ariadni emails back a short, objective read: what the message is, what stands out, and questions you could raise. Your message is de-identified, analyzed, and then summarily deleted.
You sign in with Google and, separately, connect Gmail. Ariadni reads only the mail that arrives after you connect, and only from the counsel domains you designate. She measures responsiveness from message timing, reads the documents your counsel sends, de-identifies the text as best she can, and analyzes it with Anthropic. She then emails the results to you and stages a draft to your lawyer in your own drafts folder. Ariadni emails you your own results and stages drafts for your review; she never sends anything to anyone else on your behalf. If you choose, the optional Ariadni Companion app on your Mac adds text and call responsiveness for the lawyers on your account: the timing math runs on your Mac and only the computed summary is sent. Message content is never read, and calls have no content to read.
Counsel often forward a draft they have not yet reviewed. When the evidence shows a version came from the other side, Ariadni says so and does not score your lawyer on it, and their score does not move. You still get the read: what changed, which way each edit cuts, and how much risk the version carries. When your lawyer sends their own revisions back, that turn is scored on the edits they made rather than on the document they inherited. An engagement letter is treated the same way, since the firm wrote it for its own protection.
Documents and email text are read in transit for a single analysis and are not stored. What Ariadni keeps is limited: your encrypted Google credential, your profile and matter setup, the scores on your own record, and, if you connect the Mac companion, the text and call timing summaries it computes, which you can clear from your dashboard at any time. Credentials are encrypted at rest. The connection to Gmail is scoped to reading the mail you designate and creating drafts; it cannot send email to anyone else on your behalf.
You. Every part of the product is scoped to your own account; there is no administrative path that reads another user's mail, documents, or scores. We do not access your data through the product. Every account is self-scoped, so no one at Ariadni can read across accounts, and your mail and documents are never stored on our servers. The automated analysis attempts to de-identify document text before sending it to Anthropic under Ariadni's own key, and that pipeline runs without a person at Ariadni reading your material. The full design is described in our Conflicts and Data-Firewall Policy.
No. The third-party AI provider, Anthropic, processes your content under its commercial terms, which provide that it will not train its models on content submitted through its commercial services. No customer data is used to train Ariadni, and no Ariadni data is shared with any law practice.
Ariadni's founder is also the founding attorney of FTE Legal, a Social Purpose Corporation ("FTE Legal"), an independent law firm. Ariadni LLC ("Ariadni") is a separate company, and a one-way wall keeps them apart: nothing Ariadni sees benefits FTE Legal, and FTE Legal's interests never reach Ariadni's data or scoring. Every lawyer is scored by the identical pipeline, including FTE Legal, so you can point Ariadni at your FTE Legal engagement and score it exactly like any other. The details, and how each guardrail is enforced, are in our Conflicts and Data-Firewall Policy.
Buyers of legal services: individuals, in-house counsel, general counsel, founders, and finance or procurement teams that engage outside counsel and want a clearer view of the value they are getting.
In the Greek myth, Ariadni handed Theseus the thread that led him back out of the labyrinth. Her thread even had a name, a clew, and it is where English gets the word “clue.” We use the modern Greek spelling of her name, and the mission is the one she invented: a reliable way through a maze somebody else built.
Before analysis, Ariadni attempts to remove all identifying detail from the text. This is an effort and not a guarantee; you should assume that document text is processed by Anthropic.
